Weyerhaeuser operates in 10 countries, employing about 14,900 people, primarily
in the United States and Canada. Our four major business
segments span nearly all aspects of the forest products industry, including
Cellulose Fibers, Real Estate, Timberlands and Wood Products.
Everything we do starts with trees. We grow them. We
study them. And we never stop searching for new and better ways to use them. Whether
building a more energy-efficient home, or using wood residuals for biomass fuel,
our people challenge their imaginations to tap the remarkable potential of trees
and the land where they grow.
The best part is that trees are a renewable resource and we make sure of it. Weyerhaeuser
plants millions of trees each year, and all of our North American forestland is
independently certified to
meet strict third-party standards for sustainable wood procurement and forest management.
Not only does our business depend on strong, healthy trees, but people need them,
and so do our communities and the planet.
As we adapt to the changing demands of the marketplace and meet the needs of our
customers, our commitment to helping maintain our environment and grow our communities
is unwavering. And this commitment starts with hiring and retaining great people.
Fostering an inclusive, performance-driven culture is vital to our continued operation.
Trees, people, our environment and our communities are equally valued, sustainable
resources, and we’re dedicated to the success of each of them.
